Powderpuff game ends in tie, friendly rivalry

pp3The Powder Puff game Monday night ended in a 21-21 tie in overtime between the juniors and seniors, bringing the first day of Spirit Week to a close.

Senior Anna Thillairajah and junior Megan Kenny both scored on their teams’ first offensive drives of the game.

Despite trailing for much of the third quarter, the juniors were able to score and force overtime.

Junior Julia Walker is confident in her team’s performance.

“Tying is actually a win for the juniors,” Walker said.

Senior Caroline Willar considers her class winners of the game.

“We tried to play fair because we knew they were a small team,” Willar said. “The seniors won in our hearts.”
