The Future Business Leaders of America held an award ceremony for the Northern Virginia Regional tournament on March 3 at Falls Church High School. Twenty-seven members placed first, 10 members placed second and 11 members placed third in their respective categories.
“Our population of students typically does really well every year, but it’s always really nice to see them succeed and do so well,” IB Business teacher Rebekah Glasbrenner said.
Senior Sagar Sharma, who placed third in the Insurance and Risk Management category, had to take a 100-question test about different types of insurance plans and risks associated with businesses in a set time limit.
“My category was special because while everyone else was provided with test questions from previous years, my category was relatively new so I searched the Internet for sources to study,” Sharma said.
