“I expected a big turnout and I was not disappointed,“ Government teacher and co-sponsor Ilsa Tinkelman said. The interest meeting had a high turnout with approximately 90 attendees.

The club encourages students to learn about and comprehend foreign policy, making delegates more globally aware and knowledgeable about issues that affect the international community.

“Marshall MUN improves their public speaking skills, writing, research techniques and diplomacy,” secretary general and senior Emeline Walker said.

The club also emphasizes the competition component, stating that it can help develop public speaking and diplomatic capabilities that will assist members in the professional world.

“It will help me speak up more often because I have always been bad at public speaking and that will help a lot,” sophomore Norseng Tseten said.
