The picture consisted of a brown egg with thousands of little brown spots covering the entire shell in front of a white background. It is the only picture on the account.

This egg has gone viral, and since it has been posted, other accounts have been making memes about it. For example, Mike Tyson posted the same egg, but with his signature tattoo photoshopped onto it.

In February of 2017, Beyoncé became the record holder for the most liked picture on Instagram. The picture was of herself on her left side with her hands on her belly as she showed she was pregnant. That picture currently stands at over 11.2 million likes.

A year later in February of 2018, Kylie Jenner claimed the title for the most liked picture. It was a picture of her newborn daughter holding her left thumb. That picture currently stands at over 18.6 million likes.

The @world_record_egg account is currently at over 7.4 million followers. Since the new record, the account has decided to sell merchandise related to the egg. They have left a link in their bio for anyone interested in buying.
