Soccer ends season poorly

As the season comes to a close, both the boys? and girls? varsity soccer teams anxiously await district competition.

Neither team has experienced much success this season. The boys? team went without a win in the regular season, going 0-13, and the girls? team has had similar problems, ending the season 1-12.

Both teams have experienced a great deal of hardship throughout the season.

?We?ve suffered multiple injuries,? girls? coach Ann Germain said. ?Some of our players have [had] mono all season.?

One of the many girls? players suffering from injuries was sophomore Isabelle Lindberg.

?I suffered a concussion a couple of weeks ago,? Lindberg said. ?Our freshman goalie Emily Buzek has been out for a couple of weeks as well.?

Similarly, the boys? team has experienced a great deal of adversity.

?We have to work really hard to get results,? senior Kian Tabatabai said. ?Our district match against Langley [High School] will be a tough one.?

Both teams lost their final games of the season at home against Madison High School on May 14. The teams began district competition on Monday, but results were not available at press time.
