Growing population requires transfer of classes to trailers

Starting in the 2017 to 2018 school year, trailers will take over the back parking lot as new classrooms. Registrar Deb Maricello said the school is at capacity and compensations are necessary, despite the renovation just three years ago to accommodate the increasing amount of students.
Junior Neel Simpson said the incoming freshman class should occupy the trailers.
“I think freshman deserve to learn,” Simpson said. “I think they should get the trailers so they don’t use our school, but I guess they deserve to learn.”
Freshman Hannah Taylor said the prospect of trailers provides a disconnect within the school.
“I really don’t like the idea of trailers,” Taylor said. “It kind of separates the school, like some [students are] stuck in trailers when there is space in a beautiful renovated school.”
